Farrah el-Dibany, Egyptian mezzo-soprano, preforms during Macron’s victory ceremony
After French President Emmanuel Macron delivered a victory speech celebrating his re-election, he was joined on stage by Egyptian opera singer Farrah El Dibany, 33, who sang La Marseillaise, the French national anthem.
Dressed in a deep-red strapless gown, El Dibany was greeted on the Champ de Mars stage by the president, who kissed her on the hand.

The Paris Opera Prize went to Farrah el-Dibany, as a first Egyptian and Arab singer to win this prize in 2016 and many other international awards.
Farrah has been chosen as the best young operatic talent by the Opera World magazine in Germany. Then, the Wagner Foundation Award went to her. She also received the Hassan Kamy Award.
El-Dibany Born in Alexandria, she was in love with the opera music and the French songs as Charles Aznavour and Dalida S.
At the age of seven, she learned German and piano. She also learned opera singing from the famous opera singer Nevin Allouba at age 14, after that she had joined the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Arts Center in 2005.
To continue her studies at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin, Dibany traveled in 2010. She continued her studies with a master’s degree at the Berlin University of the Arts and a degree in Architectural Design from Technische Universität Berlin, after her graduating in 2014.
As a best female opera singer, Farrah got the “Prix Lyrique de l’AROP” award from the Paris Opera House in 2019.
